Central Introduction

The Central region accounts for 20 provinces, amongst them the modern day capital of Bangkok, the City of Angels and the ancient capital of Ayudhaya.

Sometimes termed the rice-bowl of Thailand, many of the Central region provinces are lush and green.

Several National Parks can be found in the area, like the 844 sq km Pang Sida National Park in Sa Kaeo province.as well as numerous wats and sites of great archeological significance.
